La principale recherche porte sur le matériel archéologique du site de Sangtarashan au Luristan dont l’exploration est dirigée par M. Malekzadeh (ICHTO) et A. Hasanpur (ICHTO). Le caractère exceptionnel de Sangtarashan transparaît notamment dans son mobilier : plus de deux mille objets comprenant notamment les fameux bronzes du Luristan issus d’un contexte non-funéraire. Leur étude a pour objectif de répondre aux questions non résolues de cette région énigmatique.
